RESTAURANTS
Now we have restaurants serving European, American, Asian, Mexican and local Tico food.
The only restaurant near the ocean is the Beach ”Club”, open for lunch, South of Uvita. Take aways Pizzas and roast chicken – also available.
At the Tico Sodas, a huge CASADO of chicken, meat, or shrimp with veggies goes for about $5. Depending on the season, you can often get Langosta !
The Gringo Restaurants are more expensive – serve international wines, mostly from South America in more upscale surroundings.
Non alcoholic drinks, the local “Bebidas en agua or leche” are a treat. These are fruits pulverised in either water or milk and are very good value.
